FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 9th – 22nd September

Fairtrade

All Saints Earls Barton is a Fairtrade church which means we commit to using Fairtrade products as church & individuals wherever possible.

Our ‘It’s Only Fair’ shop opened in 2013 in our church hall, which is opposite the Co-op.

Prior to that, we started with stalls after church and ‘pop-up’ Christmas shops. We’re delighted to be open all year round now and we are keen to make it easier for our church family and village community (and beyond!) to make thoughtful, ethical choices with the simple act of shopping.

We open 10am–1pm every Saturday and are staffed by a team of volunteers from the church and village community. We sell a wide range of fairtrade groceries, coffee, chocolate as well as cards and fairtrade gifts made by artisans
in disadvantaged communities across the world.

Our cafés happen on the 2nd Saturday of the month alongside our shop and we have secondhand books on sale then too. We serve fairtrade coffee and homemade cakes so hope you can come along and enjoy those with us too!

The money we raise from our shop, cafés and events go to
the ‘Transform Trade’ charity which helps people, especially women, set up businesses in small communities that would otherwise struggle to get loans & support.

We’ve recently been running ‘Mend & Repair’ events at some of our cafés and also regularly invite other charities and organisations to share our space, which has benefitted us all.
